Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 June 2026
This policy explains, in plain terms, what information She Still Lives Here collects, why, and what happens to it. Some of what you write here is among the most personal things you've put into words, and we've tried to write this policy with the same care.
Who we are
She Still Lives Here is operated by Ladjoumokeh Lifestyle & Services Limited, 128 City Road, London EC1V 2NX. For any privacy question, you can reach us directly at [email protected].
What we collect
Account information. Your email address and password, used to create and secure your account. Passwords are never visible to us, they're handled securely by our authentication provider, Supabase.
What you write in the journal. Your responses to the chapter prompts. This is the most sensitive thing we hold, and we treat it that way, it's never shared, sold, or made visible to anyone else, including other staff at She Still Lives Here, beyond what's needed to operate the service.
Your AI reflections. When you submit a journal entry, the text is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your personal reflection. We explain exactly what happens to that data below.
Daily check-in entries. If you use the optional daily wellbeing check-in, we store your self-selected entries about energy, rest, and general mood. We've deliberately kept this feature general and self-descriptive rather than clinical, it's a personal noticing tool, not a health assessment, and we don't ask you to self-report any diagnosed condition.
Payment confirmation. When you purchase full access, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We receive confirmation that payment succeeded and which account it belongs to. We never see, receive, or store your card number, expiry date, or any other card details, those go directly to Stripe.
Where your data actually goes
We believe in naming our processors specifically rather than hiding behind "third-party services," so here's exactly where things go.
Supabase hosts your account and your journal entries. They act as our data processor for authentication and storage.
Anthropic processes your journal text through their Claude API to generate your reflection. As of this policy's last update, Anthropic's API terms state that data sent through the API is never used to train their models, and API inputs and outputs are automatically deleted from their systems within 7 days. This is a separate, stricter policy than their general consumer product. We'll update this section if that policy changes.
Stripe processes your payment. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant, the industry security standard for handling card payments, and your card details never pass through or get stored on our own servers at any point.
Why we process your data
To provide the service you've signed up for, to generate your AI reflections, to process payment for full access, and to send you account-related emails, like signup confirmation. We don't use your journal content for marketing, advertising, or any purpose beyond generating your own reflection.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and journal entries for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your journal entries are permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. As noted above, anything sent to Anthropic for reflection generation is independently deleted from their systems within 7 days regardless of what happens with your account here.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or object to certain processing, and receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email [email protected] and we'll respond within one month.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you believe we've handled your data improperly. We'd genuinely appreciate the chance to put things right directly first.
Cookies and technical data
We use essential cookies and browser storage strictly needed to keep you signed in and remember your place in the workbook. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and there are no ads anywhere on this site.
Children
This service is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and the account signup process isn't designed for or directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and, where the change is significant, let existing users know by email.
